Training & Lessons

 

Kimberley Olson is the Owner and Trainer at Puddlefoot Stables.  She has had many successful years working with people and their horses.  She has successfully shown her own horses and clients horses in lower level dressage, but most importantly she has taken people that have lost their confidence with their horses and restored it.  She credits the success by bringing out the horses natural talent with quiet light riding.   

  

Philosophy:  
My philosophy in training and teaching is to ensure horse and rider discover an understanding of each other. Dressage is the basis for my teaching, however I am not a Dressage instructor.  No matter what your riding discipline, the key to great success is to teach the rider to be firm but fair, and train the horse to understand what you are asking of  him.

  

 

Goal:
To improve your riding skills; to teach rider and horse to work together as dance partners; and to teach you to ask clearly and concisely so that your horse will understand what you are asking of him.  I am continually learning and expanding my own understanding of riding and teaching so that I can grow as I want you to grow.

Services that I offer:

I'm sorry but I don't currently have any lesson horses               
Lessons for you with your horse.  I will travel to your farm for a small fee
Training of your horse here at the farm

Equine Massage (Certified through Equitouch)
Boarding (Availability is limited)

Lesson and Training payment breakdown

Private lessons

$35 per hour

Semi Private Lessons (2 people)

$30 per hour

Group Lessons/ Clinics(2+People)

$25 per hour


 
Kimberley has given me the ability to ride with confidence again. After a few tragic falls on my thoroughbred, I became fearful of a horse I once trusted. Kimberley taught me the importence of leadership and confidence. She taught my horse balance and self-carriage. Today we work together as a team and I enjoy riding again. Without her I would not be where I am today with my horse, and my horse would be up for sale. I am thankful we (Bear and I) found Kimberley!

Puddlefoot Stables is not excepting new horses in for boarding or training at this time.  Haul-in lessons are still welcome as well as lessons at your place.

If you are interested in boarding or full time training you may still contact me and be put on a waiting list.
